“10TH FAMILY BUSINESS CONGRESS”

Istanbul Kültür University Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) organized the “10th Family Business Congress” on 15-16 May 2024 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Bakırköy campus Ataköy building.

The opening speeches of the congress were made by Prof. Dr. Mahmut Paksoy, our President of AGMER, Prof. Dr. Fadime Yüksektepe, our Rector, and Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly.

LEPIDUS ENSEMBLE RECITAL

Lepidus Ensemble, one of the popular chamber music ensembles, met with art lovers on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 19.00 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in our Bakırköy campus Ataköy building. The Lepidus Ensemble concert, which was founded as a string quartet in 2011, featured the repertoire of important composers such as Albioni, Mozart and Bregovic. The artists, who gave classical music lovers an unforgettable night, were sent off with applause.

DR. DİLEK KAYA İMAMOĞLU MET WITH ISTANBUL KÜLTÜR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

İKÜ Kültür Noktası tarafından, sosyal sorumluluk ve iş yaşamında kadın çalışmaları konusunda öne çıkan Akademisyen & İlham Veren Kadın Dr. Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu ile toplumsal fayda üzerine söyleşi düzenlendi. Moderatörlüğünü Rektör Yardımcımız Prof. Dr. Burcu Yavuz Tiftikçigil'in üstlendiği etkinliğe, 14 Mayıs Salı günü saat 14.00'te Bakırköy yerleşkesi Ataköy binasındaki Akıngüç Oditoryumu ve Sanat Merkezi ev sahipliği yaptı.

ORCHESTRA IKU “KRONOPOP” CONCERT STAGED FOR KÜLTÜR MEMBERS

The "KRONOPOP" concert was held with the joint efforts of IKU Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) and Orchestra IKU, on Thursday, May 2, at 19.00 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus. At the concert, the most popular Turkish pop songs from the 90s to the present were performed by Orchestra IKU. The audience enjoyed themselves, experiencing joyous moments at the concert, in which important songs of Turkish pop such as "Tavla", "Zor Kadın" and "Sarışın" were sung.

"I CLOSE MY EYES AND DO MY DUTY" PLAY

Haldun Taner's immortal work "I Close My Eyes and Do My Duty" was staged with the rendition of İKÜ Theater Club on Tuesday, April 30, at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus. The play, centred on two friends, one naive and the other vigilant, was well received, making the audience laugh and think.

We congratulate İKÜ Theater Club for their endeavours and the extraordinary work they have done.

OUR UNIVERSITY WAS SELECTED AS A MEMBER OF THE NETWORKS STRATEGY COUNCIL OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SOLUTIONS NETWORK (SDSN)

Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) has been selected as a member of the Networks Strategy Council of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), one of the most important international platforms in the field of sustainable development.

SDSN is a solution development network and United Nations initiative formed by universities, research centers, think tanks, non-governmental organizations and the business world from various countries of the world.

"ANTS FUSION"

In cooperation with IKU Design Factory, Mathematics-Computer Club, Art Basket Club and Game Design and Development Club, an event titled "ANTS Fusion" was organized, where companies in the digital game industry and students came together. The event, hosted by the Design Factory in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus on Thursday, April 25, started with the Motion Capture dance show.

PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN IKU AND KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN

A visit was paid to IKU, by Rector of Kinnaird College for Women, Pakistan's first incubation center specifically for women, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana David, Vice-Chancellor and Head of Research Operations Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yaqub and their team, coordinated by Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Technology Transfer Office Inc., to help initiate exciting opportunities by encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship and academic exchange between the two institutions, on Thursday, April 25.
