The Individual Young Entrepreneurship (BIGG) Program, in which 200 thousand TL grant support is provided to entrepreneurs who want to realize their business idea, was introduced to the students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences by Marmara University Teknopark Inc. Entrepreneurship and Incorporation Specialist Doğukan Gezinti.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Müge Çetiner, department heads and lecturers met with the students. At the event held on Wednesday, March 16, our students conveyed their opinions, suggestions and requests to our dean. Our students were informed about faculty activities and internship commission work.

Ömer Faruk Koç represents our university at the Turkish Universities Kick Boxing Championship, which is included in the 2022 activity program and will be held in Erzurum with the participation of 73 universities between 16-18 March 2022. In cooperation with the IKU Vocational School and the Civil Aviation Club, a conversation titled "Turkish Women Flying and Flying Airplanes" was held in two sessions on Tuesday, March 8, within the scope of "March 8, International Women's Day" and "March 7-13, International Women's Aviation Week". The first session of the event, moderated by Mere Eseoğlu and Civil Aviation Club President Adile Yusufoğlu, was hosted by writer Eriş Ülger, son of Sabiha Gökçen, the spiritual grandchild of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The workforce agreement signed between Istanbul Kültür University European Career and Workforce Unit and Lower Saxony State 'Deutsche Management Akademie - Lower Saxony German Management Academy' (DMAN) was featured in the March issue of KobiEfor magazine.

The brief of the traditional 3rd High School Fictional Litigation Competition, which will be organized by Istanbul Kültür University with the theme of 'Digital Security' this year, was held on Friday, March 5, 2022 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. Nearly 140 students from different high schools across Turkey participated in the competition.

The 4th Career Honorary Awards, organized by Istanbul Kültür University Career Club to support a different non-governmental organization every year, found their owners with a ceremony held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Friday, March 4th. The proceeds of the ceremony were donated to the Muscular Diseases Association (KASDER), and nearly 40 names from the art, sports, media and business worlds were deemed worthy of awards.

ÇOBAN: YOUR SUPPORT IS VERY MEANINGFUL

A protocol has been signed by Prof. Dr. Alim Kaya, Head of Psychological Counselling and Guidance M.S and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Engin Deniz, General Vice President of the Turkish Psychological Counselling and Guidance Association on March 3, 2022 at our Ataköy Campus. In the scope of the protocol, International 23rd Psychological Counselling and Guidance Congress will be carried out in the home ownership of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU).

A webinar was organized with the collaboration of IKU Family Businesses Application and Research Center (AGMER) and Management Consulting Institute. The webinar which was realized via the ZOOM platform and also broadcasted live via YouTube on February 24, Thursday was moderated by Assist. Prof. Seray Begüm Samur Teraman, one of the academics from the Department of Entrepreneurship. The panel in which Salih Keskin, Innovation Coach and Dr. Ali Kurt, Synergia Co-Founder took place, started with Assist. Prof. Nazan Çağlar’s, Head of AGMER, speech.

Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) hosted art lovers with the fifth event, a new theatre play, of the season. The play “Piraye” of Master Poet Nazım Hikmet in which he projected his inner world, surrounded by the poem and letters written for the love he has for his spouse, staged on February 24, Thursday at 19.00, at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. The play which was directed and played by Murat Çidamlı highly applauded by art lovers.
