The 4th Career Honorary Awards, organized by Istanbul Kültür University Career Club to support a different non-governmental organization every year, found their owners with a ceremony held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Friday, March 4th. The proceeds of the ceremony were donated to the Muscular Diseases Association (KASDER), and nearly 40 names from the art, sports, media and business worlds were deemed worthy of awards.

ÇOBAN: YOUR SUPPORT IS VERY MEANINGFUL

KASDER Vice President Fatma Çoban thanked the participants for their support and expressed the difficulties they experienced in the society. Çoban said, “We are happy with every person we can touch, every problem, every project we can do, every medical device we can offer, and every work we can do about the rights of the disabled in Turkey under the umbrella of KASDER. I believe that as much as we are happy and proud, muscle patients will attain living conditions worthy of human dignity. Therefore, the support of each of you means a lot to us.”

AWARD-WINNING ARTISTS

The names determined by voting on the official website of our club received their awards from our students in the night. At the Career Honorary Awards Ceremony, Acun Ilıcalı received the 'Business Person of the Year' award, İskender Pala received  the 'Best Writer' award, İlker Kaleli received the 'Living Series Legend' award, Müjdat Gezen received the 'Most Admired Art School of the Year' award, the Most Admired Composer of the Year. Ersay Ünar received the ‘Most Admired Composer of the Year’ award, Zeynep Bastık received the "Best Female Singer of the Year" award, Mabel Matiz received the "Most Favorite Song of the Year" and "Most Favorite Male Artist of the Year" award, Nilperi Şahinkaya received  the "Most Favorite Female TV Series Actor of the Year" award, Gülçin Ergül and Clip Director Ahmet Can Tekin received the 'Most Admired Music Video of the Year' award with the song Birbirimize İyi Gelmiyoruz', Elif Gezen received the 'Most Admired Theater Artist of the Year' award, and Reha Özcan received the 'Most Admired Radio Programmer of the Year' award.

Sıla won the 'Female Artist of the Year' award, but the artist could not attend the night due to her work. Sıla, who sent a video, thanked the young people for the award.

GÖKTAY: I DEDİCATE MY AWARD TO UKRAINIANS

The 'Career Honor' award was given to master artist Zihni Göktay. In his speech after receiving his award, Göktay emphasized the importance of general, academic and traditional culture. Göktay said, “Even snails leave traces where they pass, why shouldn't we? I dedicate this award, which I gradually received, to the Ukrainians, who are fighting to protect their homeland, who are fighting for survival these days, fighting for freedom, fighting against imperialism.”

ACUN ILICALI: I BOUGHT THE TEAM I PLAYED IN PLAYSTATION

Acun Ilıcalı, who received the 'Most Admired Business Person of the Year' award, said that he was very happy and said, "I have always spent my life shining young people, and I did the same thing in our team. I usually try to do the same in my competitions. God has given me so much more. Your current energy is very beautiful. I was successful in media. I had a dream. I said, 'Let me try it in football.' I always wanted and bought a football club. They were always telling me, 'You were playing Playstation, now you got a team.' saying. It really did. God blessed us to buy the team we played on Playstation. These things were not easy. If you are affected by the normal match once, if you are affected twice by the international match, you are affected by this ten times. Our aim is to have a team in England that we can all be proud of. I hope to make you a fan of that team as well. If you had said to me, 'if none of this had happened and your parents would have been with you'. Today, I prefer to sit at home with my parents and watch TV. They didn't see any of my achievements, I was the worst student in school while they were alive, I wasn't a student with a future. Take another look at your mother, father, sibling, and do not forget its value. At the same time, realize this well. Because you can never experience the happiness of the life you lived with them again.”

GÜLÇİN ERGÜL: I ACCEPT MY AWARD FOR ERDAL

"I would like to thank those who prepared such a night." Ergül started her speech and said that she accepted the award for her lover Erdal Şeyda Lafçı, who died in a traffic accident in December.

FROM DOĞULU TO STUDENTS: WHATEVER YOU DO, DO WITH LOVE

Kenan Doğulu, who was selected as the 'Male Artist of the Year', also thanked for the award and gave advice to students who will make a career. Doğulu said, “Don't be afraid to take risks, be brave. I want to say that you always have the excitement of the first day and whatever you do, do it with love.”

KALELİ: GREETINGS TO EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T COMPROMISE ON THEİR STANCE

İlker Kaleli was selected for the "Living Series Legend". Saying that he was proud and very happy about the award, Kaleli thanked the young people. Kaleli, "I hope to be together again in many more beautiful evenings like this, greetings to everyone who does not give up their efforts no matter what the circumstances and does not compromise their upright stance."
