The "Career Honorary Awards", traditionally organized by Istanbul Kültür University Career Club, found their owners at the ceremony held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus. Participation in the ceremony, where all proceeds of the night were donated to DOSTEV, where young people with Down syndrome and mentally impaired people and their families work, was very high. Nearly 40 names from the sports, media, music and business worlds were deemed worthy of awards. Individuals with autism also attended the ceremony. Individuals with down syndrome and mentally impaired people came together with celebrities and sang songs to the audience.

Prof. Dr. Yüksektepe: We Aim to Raise Great Awareness

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe said that Istanbul Kültür University provides a very good education to students and said, “In addition, our students' club activities are very important to us. We have a Kültür Constitution. One of the important matters there is that Kültür has a comprehensive approach to education. Therefore, we attach great importance to the qualities acquired by students through our student clubs. We always try to be with them and support them as much as we can. In our award ceremony today, our students are trying to highlight social issue sensitivity, which is a very important issue. Our valuable famous role model artists are with us. We aim to raise great awareness. “I would like to thank our students for their efforts in this event.” she said.

Doğan: We are very happy to be here

DOSTEV Association President Arzu Oygur Doğan said, “We were truly honored that Istanbul Kültür University and İKÜ Career Club held the award ceremony on behalf of our association this year and chose us. We would like to thank Istanbul Kültür University and everyone who contributed. Our aim is to make our children individuals in society. We improved their self-confidence by providing training through art. We are very happy to be here. "I would like to thank you very much on behalf of our Board of Directors, our children and myself."

Yöntem: Our Country Needs Culture Very Much

Actor Selçuk Yöntem, who received the "Honor Award", said, "I would like to thank the Career Club very much for this award. Our world and our country needs culture very much. Nowadays, it is very important to be cultured and have merit and it is very important not to break away from art. You continue this social life with the awareness of this. You do these activities. Please continue. You are brilliant people. May the bright future be yours.”.

Tekindor: Always Say "I Deserve Better"

The winner of the "Best Female Theater Actor of the Year" award was Zerrin Tekindor. Tekindor said, “I am very afraid of young people. While I work , I always think about young people during my rehearsals. I worry like, 'They won't like this, they won't like that.' I'm trying to make myself likeable to you the most. But when I received this award, it seemed like it had happened. Thank you very much. I wish you success in your future life. Always say ' I deserve better. 'Then you will come across art.” 

Ergin: Receiving such an award at such a young age is very exciting

Zafer Ergin, who received the "Living Series Legend" award, said, "It is exciting to receive such an award at a young age. But every award is a responsibility. We need to be aware of this. As an award winner, we need to be much more careful from now on. I wish you to do great work in terms of merit and career, get a good education and shine brightly in these fields that Türkiye really needs."

Özdemir: Please Do Not Ever Stop Dreaming

Demet Özdemir was selected as the "Best Actress of the Year". Stating that she was proud of the award, Özdemir said, "It is also very proud for me to receive an award in front of great masters. Dear Zerrin Tekindor taught me a lot. Even if it was an 8-episode digital series, I really gained 8 years of experience. I realized once again how much I am on the right path. I thank you for reminding me of this again. Please do not ever stop dreaming."

Güngör: I hope everyone who works hard will be rewarded

"Best TV Series of the Year" was selected as " Kızılcık Şerbeti" and "Best Male Actor of the Year" was awarded to Doğukan Güngör. Güngör said that he accepted the award on behalf of the team and said, "I hope everyone who works hard will be rewarded."

Turan: Thank you for seeing the beauty and goodness in our lives

The winner of the "Best Couple of the Year" award was given to Aslıhan Doğan Turan and Arda Turan. Aslıhan Doğan Turan said that this award was her first award. Arda Turan said, "Life is very similar in marriages, good, bad, ugly, beautiful. But we continue our lives by looking ahead with a wonderful wife and two very happy children. I thank you very much for seeing the beauty and goodness in our lives."

Mandır: We would be very happy to host you at our concert

The winner of the "Most Admired Music Group of the Year" award was given to the band Pera. Gökhan Mandır, the lead singer of the band, said that he would be very happy to host the students at the concert and said, "We are very happy. We would like to thank each and every one of the students for deeming us worthy of this award. We are also very happy to be here." Hakan Ünalan stated that it was a great night.
